Unfinished Home - Introduction
This project is presented through installations, illustrations, and videos, aiming to narrate the conflict between the phenomenon of unfinished buildings and the issues of national economic development and people's livelihoods it reflects.
Installation & Illustration
Reconstructs the steps of housing construction, from digging Foundation pit, pouring reinforced concrete, bricklaying, to plumbing and electrical structures, and then to Soft decoration.Reversing the order allows one to experience the emotions of homeowners who buy or live in unfinished buildings.Purchasing a home initially represents hope for the future (Soft decoration), then turns to anger (Plumbing & Electrical), and after going through everything, it returns to despair and acceptance (Foundations Pit).
The hope for a family's future and the reality of reinforced concrete intertwine, narrating the process of homebuying, where the seed of hope turns into a heavy burden.Unfinished buildings, like unborn children, become extortionists, kidnapping every affected family, causing them to fall from heaven to hell.
